Background:

I studied Industrial Design and Engineering (IPO) at the Hague University. At the education I acquired the skills for designing products for all kinds of markets. I also developed a fascination for digital sketching, 3D visualization and CAD design.

As a designer:

My workflow as a designer is to combine the many aspects of product design. Missing tools and skills I try to master as quickly as possible. Starting out with “the good old” fine liner and marker, I start to visualize and eventually sketch interactively in Photoshop and Blender. Drawing in 3D is an effective way to get a grasp of the design in an early stage, boxing out the features and defining a general shape. I’m also not shy of the workshop environment, creating models and prototypes. After approval, concepts eventually lead up to the final design and materialization of the desired product.

On a personal level:

Creative, pragmatic, inventive and musical. Just a few words that describe me. I’ve played various instruments from the age of 8, but mainly B flat Flugel horns and Cornets. I’m currently active playing in Brassband Backum Brass, with a repertoire ranging from classic Brass to Jazz and Big Band music.
